Rainy mornings usually take us back to Italy in The Dolomite Mountains and to this beautiful elopement at Lago di Braise. It was sunrise in the middle of August. The weather was only rain in the forecast for the entirety of our stay in the mountains. Between the 40 degree temperatures, the heavy rainfall (were talking downpour rain) and the fog encompassing us, we decided lets just capture the romance despite all of it. They promised each other forever in the pouring rain, laughed & cried and we even decided to take out some boats for portraits. It was breathtakingly beautiful and they truly just looked effortlessly in love despite terrible weather. After we finished photographing the beauty, the owner of the boathouse at Lago di Braise said that it was “the worst weather they had experienced in over a year’. We were all soaked but smiling. Of course this experience of a lifetime would have weather like this but we will let the images speak for itself.
